The Telegraph has a feature out today–looks like its part of Which? Money Autumn Special from Sainsbury’s–called 50 ways to save cash and among the categories are shopping, family, home and technology. They’ve mentioned a few tips I’ve covered here but added some new ones. Here are a few I think sound fantastic:
Get seedy
A great website for saving money on gardening is www.seedypeople.co.uk. The site lets you swap seeds and plants with other gardeners. It also runs Seedy Sunday (www.seedysunday.org), which is ‘the UK’s biggest community seed swap’ – check the site for dates and locations.
Cashback for kids
Register with free shopping club KidStart and get up to 20pc cashback when you shop. This money is then transferred into any child trust fund (CTF) or bank or building society. Hundreds of well-known shops are participating in the scheme. Visit www.kidstart.co.uk for more.
eBay bargains
Many items are listed for sale on eBay with spelling mistakes, which can mean they don’t attract many bidders and may therefore sell for very low prices. The aptly-named website www.fatfingers.co.uk can help you with a search.
