On Tuesday 19th January, Asda is going Peppa Pig mad to raise money for leading baby charity Tommy’s as part of it’s week long Baby & Toddler Event.

Throughout the week, shoppers can enjoy amazing discounts in store on all their baby and toddler needs, and pick up the exclusive Peppa Pig Bag for Life (RRP £2, pictured above) and Peppa and George plush key rings (RRP £2, pictured below) in aid of Tommy’s.

Over the next week alone, 1,680 women will miscarry and 56 babies will be born prematurely in England and Wales – the highest rate in Western Europe. Yet medical research into pregnancy complications has traditionally received little funding in the UK. That’s why, since its inception in 1992, Tommy’s has been determined to create a pregnancy research network of worldwide importance but it can only do this thanks to the fundraising efforts of the public and companies like Asda.

Every penny that Asda raises goes to fund Tommy’s scientific research into the causes and prevention of miscarriages, premature birth and stillbirth and its vital free pregnancy information line. And last year the public helped Asda raise a fantastic £400,000 for Tommy’s and it needs your help again this year to make sure this vital research continues so get shopping!
