A productive weekend

A productive weekend

I’m feeling really good about this weekend. Although now I’d quite like another weekend for relaxing from the work of the weekend. But oh well.

Here is what I accomplished this weekend:

*Organised our bedroom closet and storage spaces, our bathroom cupboards and our DIY/tools/house miscellany closet

*Walked to Homebase to buy storage boxes

*Did three loads of laundry

*Dropped two bags of clothes, some boxes and old magazines at the recycling centre

*Went for a 3 mile run (a huge accomplishment since I haven’t been running in weeks)

*Patched the bum of my favourite jeans which I’m trying to squeeze every last minute out of

*Cleaned all the floors with our new mop and brilliant new hoover (more on that later)

*Finished reading  Julia Child’s My Life in France(loved it)

*Spent quality time with E and caught up with an old friend of his

*Asked the neighbors about arranging a carpool up to the United v West Ham match in a couple of weekends (something we’re keen to do to save on petrol/train tickets)

*And I write this with a mud mask on my face, unearthed in the organising, which is going to make my skin all firm and glowy, I just know it

*Read the Saturday Guardian

This I haven’t done this weekend, but wanted to:

*Catch up on my email for this blog

*Read the Saturday Guardian

*Make a few changes to the blog layout and features (need to pin E down to help with that)

*Cut the pieces for a new apron we’re making from some fabric we bought at the gorgeous New York haberdashery Purl Soho

Ah well, you just can’t always do EVERYTHING. All in all though I’m pretty happy about what was achieved and I still have an hours or so to dig out of email before bed.

How was your weekend?
