Two Thursdays ago I was invited by Mission Foods to a blogger event to see the musical We Will Rock You. The promise of free food and drinks will lure me pretty much anywhere (PRs take note!) but the truth is I was REALLY excited to see the show. I didn’t have time to round up a fellow musical theatre-loving friend so E came along as my dutiful date. He was a good sport while I thoroughly enjoyed myself and clapped along – a cheesy plotline full of massive song and dance numbers is SO my cup of tea!

The event was in support of the partnership between Mission Foods and We Will Rock You and a nationwide Mission Wraps on-pack promotion that offers consumers 2-4-1 tickets to the show on every pack, plus the chance to win luxury hotel breaks and an exclusive part on the show. Four million packs of Mission Wraps (Original, Wheat & White, Mediterranean Herb and Multigrain) are printed with a unique code which you can enter on the site WeWillWrapYou.co.uk to claim your 2-4-1 deal and determine your prize.

You can also enter to win a part in the show (one show only, mind you!) by creating an audition video that incorporates the We Will Wrap You slogan within the We Will Rock You chorus and upload it to the site. The most unique and creative audition will win the part. Check the site to see your competition – there are some fun videos up already! The contest is open until 31 December.
I absolutely LOVE Mexican food so getting me excited about cooking with wraps was not a serious challenge. We took some home in our goody bags and have been making breakfast burritos, fajitas and tortilla chips – yum! I’m planning to do another post with some recipes soon.

I ran a giveaway over the past week with the lovely people at Willows Farm Village who generously provided a family day pass to the farm’s Summer Spectacular event for one of my readers.
The competition has ended and our lucky winner is Baking Mad Mama!
During the competition we asked readers to share their favourite thing about visiting a farm park with their kids. Baking Mad Mama shared “Best bit about the farm with a 2 year old has to be his face when the goats come up wanting attention. He bends right down to them and chatters away as if he’s telling them all his secrets.”
Thanks so much to everyone who entered and to Willows Farm Village for the pass.
If you’re looking for something fun to do with the little ones this summer holiday, check out Willows Summer Spectacular!

Note: I originally posted this last week and am extending the competition one extra day because I’ve been so busy!
Ooh have I got something special for you today!
Willows Farm Village is having their annual Summer Spectacular event and have provided me with a family day pass to give away to one of my readers! Two adults and two children can enter on the pass.
To enter, please share your favourite thing about visiting a farm park with your children in the comments below or Tweet your entry to me @vouchermumuk. Entries must be in by 30 July 2 August and we’ll randomly select a winner to be announced on 2 4 August.
Willows Farm Village is near St Albans in Hertfordshire and it’s absolutely brilliant. The Summer Spectacular is held until 5 September and has plenty of events and activities to keep children entertained rain or shine.
Outdoors, there are all the farmyard animals to see and loads of activities, from Panning for Gold to Inflatable Bouncy Haystacks, Fun Fair Rides and the popular Tractor Trek. Indoors, there is plenty of fun to be had with Willows’ indoor play barn, Woolly Jumpers, featuring active play, ball pools and three exciting slides. A new activity for 2010 is Captain Chicken’s Egg Dodge where the Whites and Yolks team dodge each other’s foam ball eggs fired from the egg cannons.

Some of the Summer Spectacular’s highlights include:
- Willows farmer Andrew Wolfe has planted an A-maize-ing Maze grown completely from maize, an adventure the whole family will enjoy finding their way out of with a competition for the children to take part in.
- Willows Sports Day Races, an event exclusive to Summer Spectacular, where participants can enjoy old-school races including the egg and spoon and bean bag race. All children who take part will receive a certificate.
- Around the farm Tristan the Runaway Tractor will be telling his summer story and the popular Sing-a-long-a Woolly sessions return with Willows Entertainer Chris Beebee and Farm Village mascot Woolly Willow the Sheep, leading children in well-known nursery rhymes.

The Farmhouse Restaurant or Woolly Jumpers Coffee Shop offer a wide range of food for visitors. You can also bring your own picnic or pick up picnic supplies at the Willows Farm Shop which works with local producers to provide a wide range of goods with its own butchery counter, delicatessen, fresh fruit and vegetables, breads, cakes and drinks.
Tickets for the Summer Spectacular are £11.95 for adults and £12.95 for children. Concessions are available for senior citizens and disabled customers, and children under two years of age can enter free of charge.
I can’t wait to see your entries in the comments and on Twitter!

Nesquik is running a brilliant promotion at the moment. All you have to do is send in a picture of your child’s artwork and they will post you a Crayola art pack. I can’t tell you exactly what is in the pack but it looks pretty good in the photo below!

The “best” entries will be featured in a gallery on the site (I have a teensy issue with “best” here because when it comes to childrens’ art, well, who is to say what’s best…) and each month a professional designer will also pick a winner for the grand prize. This month you could win entry to the National Space Centre for a family of four plus £225 towards travel and spending money.
You can submit your entry here. That is Beth from Derby’s entry from the gallery in the main above. Well done, Beth!
